Why do you want to be debt-free?

By Gehlen | September 18, 2009

Over at “five cent nickel” there is a thought-provoking article about the motivation for becoming debt-free.

Seems like the same reasons that people give for becoming debt-free can sometimes be the same motivations that are getting so many people messed up in debt. For example, a person may say “I want to be debt-free so I can live the lifestyle I deserve.” Meanwhile, the person that is racking up consumer debt may also be saying, “I want to live the lifestyle I deserve!”

How ironic.

One is informed, one is uninformed. One will find that lifestyle, the other never will.

Which one are you?
